Have been pushing myself to sketch something at least once a day. Work has been a little slow so I have the time. These will probably be pretty rough and mostly pencil. Im going for speed and volume not so much for detail. Its more for practice. I will probably post them only once or twice a week. Any feedback or crits are welcome. Lord knows Ill need the encouragement in order to keep up the commitment.

I hope you do keep this weekly thread up, Kirk.
Off to a great start - I'm particularly fond of the Witchblade.

Thanks fellas. I appreciate the support. Ok here is the highlights from this weeks doodles.
Wolverine and PowerGirl. One Marvel character for the Marvel Zombies, one DC character for the DC lovers. One dude for the ladies and one lady for the dudes. Wolverine is drawn in his new Xforce costume. Kinda hard to tell without some color. Power Girl is not one of my favorite ladies in comics but she sure looks good. I tried to do her in an Adam Hughes kinda style. I love me some Hughes and some big chested lady heroes. I also threw down some grey wash to add some "shape" not that she needed anymore.
Peace!
KM

Shinobi - thanks for the props I'm glad you like the surfer girl, but I wasn't at all happy with how her pose turned out. Way to static and boring. So im working on another interpretation. Maybe Ill ink that one.
Ok this week Im following in the footsteps of Francesco. ( as if that was even possible with his incredible talent! ) And posting up a Nick Fury. If you haven't seen Francesco's Nick/Shield cover tribute be sure to check out his ongoing thread here in the superhero forum, its spectacular. Anyway, I think Marvel has done a great job of bring back Nick with the Skrull invasion story\line. Its made it clear how pivotal a character he is in that universe. Maybe not the kind of character to carry his own book but Nick Fury and shield have touched almost ever hero and every Marvel book at one time or another. I for one have missed his being around and am pumped to see him back.

Francesco - Glad you are liking the sketches so far. Yeah I like the old school secret agent Fury look but Im a sucker for all the detail and do-dads on the stealth blue and white suit. As for my kind words, all well deserved dude
spasticfool - Many thanks for your kind words on the Witchblade piece.

Yeah Im a sucker for all the wacky pouches and belts and stuff. Thanks for the props though Ronald.
I just checked out your site, really nice! Love the design and layout of it. That Doom piece that is on the front page currently is outrageously awesome!! I'm just getting back to posting so I probably missed your posting it here. But if you haven't you should its great! Thanks again for checking out the Fury Man.

Nick Fury is one of the few characters who can get away with pouches and stuff without looking all Rob Liefeld. Of course, having to strap all that on every morning is why he never has time to shave properly.
Terrific job on Nick and Logan. The Power Girl is good too, but there's something about her legs or feet that makes her look (to me) like someone standing up but rotated, if that makes sense.
