Hi everyone,
this is my first post on 'drawing board' ever, not sure what inspired me? But I got off my bum and here I am.
I thought that Hellgirl might not quite be into the anti hero thing, but still anti society so what better than being in a band.
I convinced my wife into posing with my guitar for a reference pic, which was very nice of her (thankyou baby).
Hope you like and hope I'll keep drawing more, it's always too long between pics

Franchesco, great piece! Very much your style and pretty sexy too. I like her hair a lot.
Mike, I gotta say, you have done a wonderful job, my man. I read your thoughts on the character development and I think your piece has a very strong concept. The style is very Mignola and a little bit of manga in there too .. so may be it's a Mangnola style ..haha Anyway, I think it's one of the best concept pieces I've seen on the subject so far. Thanks for taking part in this.

I tried to avoid looking through this thread until I had finished my own version.
Now that it is done, I finally get a chance to enjoy all the other great work in this thread.
It's interesting all the different takes that everyone here came up with.
Here is my running commentary:
Viktor - Love the Mignola style linework and shadows. She looks like she could be Hellboy's twin sister.
Benjamin - That's a cool "punker" design. Like a bratty little sister. Also love that background.
Daniel - This one is lots of fun! I could totally see this take in a Hellboy comic.
Velinov - I really like the "all red" monochromatic look. The little skull necklace is a nice touch.
122476 - Those dreads are great. I experimented with dreads in my thumbnails, but couldn't make them work. You, however, nailed it.
Miqosis - My favorite part is that little heart. Perfect.
Skottie - Wins first prize for best cheesecake. Could never see this version in a real Hellboy comic, but it is a beautiful illustration.
RobotWheelChairAccessRamp - Looks like Hellboy's little sister got raised in Neo-Tokyo by Colonel Shikishima.
Tadem - This is how I picture my incarnation of Hellboy's Sister after 40 years with the BPRD. Nice.
I also found it interesting how many people decided to include the Right Hand Of Doom.
And how many people decided to make her a part of the BPRD.

Ok I feel like an idiot for posting in a year old thread, (This is my first post on drawing board) but I came across Miqosis' blog randomly online through.... magic? And it led me here.
Ultraist- I really like the thought behind it. WIN!
I like the idea of the left hand of doom thing... Otherwise she shouldn't have a hand of doom at all really... I mean, that's kinda Hellboy's thing. Unless Hellgirl was just a gender crossover, but sister? Nah.
Seriously there are so many awesome ideas coming out of this forum.

Don't know if anyone pointed it out, but Hellboy does have a half sister by his mother who was a nun, right? (The chained coffin story)
And hey, his dad is a big horny devil, so there are probably more.

However I can't pass up the opportunity to draw sexy devil women.
tried a few...a lot of heads, and there's a hellboy or two in there as well... XD
My favorite is the one with the coloured in hair (portrait)
I'm gonna vote YES big boobs and YES high heels, but no to pink.
Hellgirl would be badass and sexy.
And while I like drawing the horns filed, I think she'd leave 'em too.
But I don't really know if they'd be... As big.
Tried a bit of everything.
No right hand of doom. Either a left hand of doom or no hand of doom at all.
Gender crossovers get a right hand of doom, but not his sister.
Of course in spite of the fact that sexy women are fun to draw and to look at,
if she wasn't a goat she'd probably really look more like the last one...
