I don't know about you guys, but along with roughs and pencil sketches I also do tiny quickie paintings in my sketchbook like this.

Yeah, they are done in acrylics with a big fillbert bristle brush so I can't get bogged down on the details. If you use acrylics with very little water added, it won't buckle the paper in your sketchbook.

The sizes of these are pretty close to what you see here, about 3-4 inches wide. I use a #6 filbert bristle brush and most are done using a really limited palette of Titanium White, Yellow Ochre, Acra Red and Ivory black.
