Here is one of about 10 or so new pictures I scanned out of my sketchbook... I would like to expand a bit out of the cartoony look of things. I would really like to find a good life drawing studio in my area to get back to doing that on a weekly basis... however... in the meantime, I am going to be working from reference material for a bit...

Shane, these are awesome!! I've missed this thread and didn't get updates, so I don't even know where to begin. sheesh. Great work! Especially the sword girl and the flower-dress girl.
Oh, and it was soooooo awesome hanging out after the con at your brother's! Thanks so much for the invite!

It's a little too soft for my taste. Were you using a low opacity brush? I do that to sometimes but you have to be careful or things just get blurry.
I am also not very keen on the color you used for the shaded areas, it's kind of grey. (There's a reason I tend to do monochromatic myself.)
However, there's a really nice start here. All the basic pieces are in place and despite the blurriness there are some nicely defined areas (like the neck) as well.
I would just suggest trying to tighten/crisp-en it up a little.
