Glad to hear it works. It wasn't a deliberate statement on women having little to say in the workplace, though I can see that angle. I had planned to show her whole face, but when I tried to work out the composition, it didn't coalesce. It looked too much like two portraits arbitrarily spliced together. Somehow it felt appropriate to slide his head into her face, until her nose & mouth finally disappeared, and then I liked it. Instead of her face and his head competing with each other, I felt like they joined in an eye-path loop: from her eyes to his head to his drink to her eyes.... More unified.
In other news, here's a book illustration I did awhile back. Not exactly a "GIRL" piece, but there's a girl in it, and since I'm here...
