Thanks you SpaceyHD. I love lines; most art that intersts me has strong linework, so I guess that automaticaly makes it the focus of my work. For a long time I used to try out very thin deadweight lines that made my work very flat, rigid, and quite boring. I still struggle with maintaining spontaneity when inking. I ususually opt for very loose pencil sketches, so that I am more drawing than inking. Of course this also increases the chances of messing things up quite badly...
I love to work with the Tombo dual brush pen, I really like the thin pen of it: it's round shape gives a very nice, soft line. The brush end is great for putting in blacks. The Pentell pocket Brus Pen is great for blacks too, although it does force you to work very precise and controlled, which might take away some of that spontaneity. Another great pen, not in the least price because of it's cheap price is the Papermate Flair, great for sketching!
Maybe I should give paint another try sometimes, I love a well executed painting but I sort of hate the messiness...
