I'm not sure what to think of this...it looks action packed though.

It looks like the movie equivalent of an ice cream headache. Can't wait.

This looks like the biggest waste of time and money I've ever seen. They must have stacked piles and piles of money in front of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant's door to get them to surrender one of Led Zep's greatest songs to this piece of teenage idiocy. This is Twilight for game boys.

Mmm... I was about to give it a chance but after reading "director of watchmen and 300" this is definetely a must-not-see.

it could be brilliant or it could be retarded, but either way lester is 110% right: it is "twilight" for gameboys.

Suckerpunch is the biggest bunch of shit I've seen in a long time.
It's like a video game without the interactivity and is therefore utterly pointless.

I agree, Elliot. I fast forwarded three quarters of it. Just so boring! Even the action scenes were hollow. Goes to prove that a few cool action scenes and a lead character with pigtails and a skimpy schoolgirl outfit, doesn't save a movie with a shit story.

Yeah, you know you've made a mistake when the gaggle of sexy girlies aren't enough to raise an eyebrow.

It made me want to watch Heavy Metal again more than anything, really, as dropping the primary narrative thread in the little vignettes would have pushed it directly into that territory.

Also, the line at the beginning when they make a very, very specific and blatantly expository effort to point out that BabyDoll was 18 felt really skeezy to me for some reason.

I watched the first few scenes, skipped to the end and watched the last few scenes, and now I'm steeling myself to watch the middle, in a vain attempt to get my money's worth. If someone had told me yesterday that I'd be bored by beautiful women in cool costumes fighting dragons, orcs, and nazis, I'd have called them a liar. I guess that means the movie taught me something.

Anyone seen a movie called "Van Helsing" about 8 years back? The filmmakers were so desperate to get an audience that they threw EVERYthing in that film. The pace was insane with special effects every second. Flying vampires and running werewolves everywhere! You could barely catch your breath long enough to scream "SLOW DOWN!!". I think that shitty movie set the standard for what today's youth can handle--or want to handle.

Lester- The difference between Helsing and Sucker Punch is that Helsing was at least a fun movie. Sucker Punch, considering it's content, seemed to take itself waaay too seriously. That killed it for me.

I didn't see it, but it makes me concerned for Zack Snyder's Superman movie.
