I don't know about this, but the same guy made Step Brothers which I can happily watch over and over and over again.

He did Anchorman.

That's enough for me.

I'm there, if the reviews are good. I love Anchorman, it's a special movie that means a lot to me personally.

This movie was worse than King Kong.

I almost walked out 20 minutes in.
It just kept getting more annoying and horrible.
fuck this movie

Man, this movie has got me all discombobulated.
It's like the editing was for shit.
The way it was shot was sloppy.
The story was a total mess and chock full of joke ideas that were never fully thought out.
All the characters were annoying.
Specially Marky Mark.

It's hard for me to explain, the audience laughed at some of it.
I laughed at none of it.
But mostly we all just sat there and listened to them tell us about things that we never saw happening. Not that those things were even interesting.
I mean how did this script even get approved?
There's nothing in it.

I almost wanna recommend people seeing it, just to see how much of a total fucking mess it is, and to see if I'm not insane for thinking the way I do about it.

But really.
Don't waste your time and hard earned money on this.
Go see A-Team.
Or buy a comic book or two.

I thought it looked average to start with but I was willing to give it a chance.
marky Mark is bobbins anyway... boogie nights was his high point.
I kind of like Will Ferrel vaguely... I think I am still going to have to try it

Will Farrell keeps pushing the envelope for how loud, irritating and boorish he can be (although all those things worked for him in "Stepbrothers"), and audiences keep coming back for more. I will too, but only when I can rent the DVDs for a buck at the supermarket.

Only thing I ever really liked from Ferrell was "Stranger than Fiction". I'd rather kiss a plague rat than see this.
They say you should never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is, on occasion, hilarious.

I think his G W Bush is hilarious, but other than that I've never found Farrell or his movies very funny. I wish I did. I could always use a good laugh.

Yes.

Though I laughed a few times here and there. Will Ferrell was actually funny in parts. I like him in reserved roles like this and Stranger Than Fiction.

But the shooting and editing sucked and the humor felt very forced and cliche. And almost every character had the same voice. Lazy writing.

I kind of wanted to leave, too. The song "Pimps Don't Cry" in the final credits was the best part of the movie. And Eva Mendes. :D

So you're saying the scenes I just saw in this preview represent a reserved Will Farrell?
