What they both said.

I always enjoy seeing new posts from you. Your style is most impressive.

And it's always appreciated when someone shares their technique.

Thanks everyone, it's very much appreciated!

Here's yet another one I did on my way to the one you've already seen. It was later redrawn into what I ended up with. Biggest difference is the angle of her shoulders, and that I actually made an underdrawing so that hips, legs, etc would connect better.

Btw, today I discovered that I'm featured in the latest issue of IdN Magazine (vol 17 #3).
Almost a whole spread about my new book :D

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words!

Anyways, I made another sketch this weekend...
When I saw the trailer for Zach Snyder's Sucker Punch I was completely floored. What a gorgeous look it had! And then I stumbled across the maquettes from Gentle Giant and felt I just had to draw these characters. Or at least the one called Babydoll.

We'll see where it ends up.
But I'll probably work some more on it and see if I can ink and color it.

And some inks...

With the sword out like this I've noticed that it's really hard to come up with a good cropping.
Tall or wide, I don't really know yet. Guess we'll see.

Now I'm gonna look into colors and background. Have this idea to have imaginary
foes drawn in crayons around her. According to the synopsis she escapes into her
imagination where she fights this epic battle.

Let me know what you think!

A thing of beauty indeed. I particularly like that almost perpendicular line of the collar.

Looking forward to the next stages.
