MEGA SPOILER

Not even the bit where they all resigned themselves to the fact they were going to die a horrible death? That was pretty sweet.

Not even that bit.
1) I was over the whole thing by then.
2) It was so surreal (the toys go to hell???) that it felt like another film.
3) The choice to underplay the acting was a good decision, but it feels so deliberate.

Oh well. I though the whole thing was pretty great, although highly predictable.

When I was in New York there were billions of ads everywhere for it, have they gotten rid of them yet?

There were some moments I really liked, sure.

I imagine the posters are all gone but I've not actually been into Manhattan for a few weeks, so perhaps they're still there.

Elliot, you've listed all the reasons I wasn't crazy about "UP". Mainly predictable, predictable, predictable.

But damn, regarding TS3, I wanna go to Toys R' Us and by collectibles of Big Baby, Guard Monkey, and especially Depressed Clown (or whatever the downtrodden clown's name is that told his tale).

I didn't like Up either.
I haven't much liked any of Pixars films since The Incredibles (which I think is too long).
I especially dislike Ratatouille which I think is shitty as opposed to dull like the rest of the recent batch.
I prefer Cars to all these films.
I am no Pixar hater - I'm simply not connecting to these films in a way that everyone else seems to.

Just for the record, so I don't sound like a completely miserable prick:
I absolutely love Kung Fu Panda.
I think it's the finest big studio release of all time.
I feel they just got so much right about it and the film making itself is terrific on top of that (rare for animated films).

I liked it, it's OK...I guess... Not as strong as the first 2 TS, though.

It felt like a "straight to DVD release" kind of movie.

I'm not a big fan of the other Toy Storys but I liked this one a lot. It was funny. No real character development or anything, which is fine, because the premise of talking, living toys is too bizarre for me (but not as creepy as a world populated by cars). And well... I was really amused by the Ken character. I had a huge Barbie collection as a little girl and I remember well the crazy shit Barbie and friends would wear.

I loved it, thought it was great. I'm glad they had that extra bit during the end credits to lighten the mood, cuz I woulda had to find a way to hide my tears upon exiting the cinema. Them Pixar bastards really know how to tug on the ols heart strings, don't they? On the other hand, the Mr. Tortilla Head and surveillance monkey had me in tears of laughter. Just awesome.
