Yep, that's Bewitched. Your drawing/character design actually looks more like Dick York (Darrin) than the cartoon intro for Bewitched does. Very cool.

I suppose he does have the jaw and, but I have to agree with Jcottie that he looks more like the actor! Ah nevermind,

Hello folks

This weeks challenge was to take some kind of object and make a character out of it. I chose some super hot chilli cooking oil that has a Mexican hat on to come up with mine, I'll post the photo of the cooking oil tomorrow.

trying to go for something different ehere, not sure how it came off, what do you guys think?

As far as solid drawing goes, it's good. But as far as character design goes, nothing about him says specifically Spaniard or Mexican other than the clothes. I'd also work on getting a better line quality.

Keep it up!

Alright folks, would love some C&C on this. I'm trying to redesign a character for a football magazine here in the UK, trying to be proactive and all that blah blah.

Ive been playing around with some ideas and this is where I've landed, any thoughts would be great before I take it any further, so dont hold back

i think this explains my observations... but you never know.
i would make a comparison in words...
If you are standing on a train station platform and a single carriage train goes by at
60 MPH... you go 'F*CK! that was something' ... it goes 'BOOM' right all over your
senses... if the same happens but the train has 5 carriages it is almost impossible to
maintain a 'BOOM' reaction over many seconds... the gag should go 'BOOM'

I know the joke is the joke byt think if you hear a fellow tell a joke and he does the
actions and a funny voice... he dresses the joke up and makes each part as entertaining as the inevitable punch line... do that... Think of building etc... even in
such a short gag

Cheers Jayce, yeah that has but its no bad thing.

This weeks topic is a Rococo character, and this is what I've come up with thus far. I think the concept is okay, but I'm not sure how well it reads, or wheher its clear at all.

What do you guys think?

I think it is grand... good gag
the lines draw the eye from the picture though. set up the sketch with the hues and
dominating shapes you wish to convey... it's all too easy with computers and all that

the gag is a cracker... no worries there

Hello folks

Heres the final version of the above image. This one was a bit of a slog but I'm fairly pleased with it

Cheers
