I snapped a couple photos (mainly on Sunday) and will be uploading them on Flickr.
It was great to see a couple of the board members that I did run into (Senti/Mitchel, RodGuen, Cheeks) and I was looking for you this weekend Steve, although Senti and Cheeks both thought that I had a picture of you in my portfolio when it was a caricature of Gord MacDonald. It was kind of odd since I have no idea of what you look like Steve...
The expo was brilliant. I'll be back next year for it.
There is a lot to cover as far as what went on, but I am glad I had an opportunity to attend. It was educational, inspirational and this little 'diddy' might be replacing SDCC for me for a while (that is until I have some comics, then SDCC will be something I'll be attending).
It was a lot to take it to sum it up loosely.
There were four places where artists were working/doing demos, two of which were traditional and two that were digital. I had an opportunity to watch the workings of Derek Thompson, Peter De Seve and Eric Goldberg.
They had a costumed model it that people were actively drawing every day.
The panels I attended were more 'in preparation' to getting into the field, although I did also attend a couple Career Overviews (Mike Mignola, Peter De Seve, Harald Sieperman--who is thinking about doing a book!!).
Inside on the floor wasn't as large as San Diego, but I do agree with Steve on the crowds (and for this being the first one). I did get a chance to walk around and talk to the artists and studios so it was a busy weekend and one I won't forget.
I'll post a link to my CTN-X photos when I get them uploaded.
See everyone at CTN-X 2010.
