The Thing In The Distance

Postby Elliotanimated » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:17 am

I am extremely pleased to say that I've just completed another installment of The Stressful Adventures of Boxhead and Roundhead.
It's call "The Thing In The Distance".
I don't know how to embed a flashy thing on here so I'll have to give an external link:

Would love to hear your thoughts.
Cheerio!

Pretty great and creepy Elliot!

My memory is fuzzy, are the voices a new addition? I rather like Boxhead's weird, deep voice.

Emcee - cheers man.

Gorgonzola - there were vocal effects in the last film too but they were mostly drowned out by the sound fx.

Interesting you should mention say this.
The one question I am asked over and over again is "Do you make funny films".
I think all these B&R films are funny but clearly I am in the minority.
The hammer swatting RH on the bonce and the after credit shot are both attempts to inject more cheap humor.
I think they work because my timing is pretty good.

Oh - and thanks man : )
I always enjoy your opinion.

I agree with faroukbaaaaa on this. It would be a festival favorite.

As always, since first meeting you in thread on "Disney's Frog Princess", you have never cease to amaze with your work. You hit on suspense, comedy and mood in "the thing in the distance".

The cool factor about it and all your work, it seems to emote your joy for animation. I get this same feeling when I see Bill Plymton's work.

I know in one thread you =said you prefer, at least watching animated shorts under 4 minutes, hope that you can do a feature length piece sometime soon.

Keep cranking them out, Man.

Well hey Jmad - those are a bunch of nice things to say.
I do prefer short animated films but would jump, nay leap! at the chance to get back into feature production, especially if it were these characters.

My next film will be non Head related, I think...

And I'm always pleased to be associated with B. Plympton.
I see him reasonably often and he's a very nice man.

Thank you for this massive, undeserved, inaccurate comment.
