oilsticks on canvas?

hi there i wonder if oilsticks works on canvas??
and what technics are use with oilsticks??

not to good. you can use ink wash over the oil sticks and then remove them to leave the area with the color of the background,you can also smudge your oil sticks to get an airbrush effect. i used them to make highlights with water color (but only due to lack of withe gouache).they are also good for quick coloring if u like to work outdoors(very pratical for quick color studies)
