Realistic figure drawings.

I've uploaded a variety of life drawings I've been doing over the past year on my deviantart page here:
www.cissell.deviantart.com

I'd like to get some more view on there because nobody has seen them. If anyone here is in St.Louis I have a show coming up in July at Concrete Ocean.

Here are a couple of samples.

strong technique

Don't know about the other members but I can't really get a feel for your work from just these two works. You have strong technique with excellent anatomy and perspective. I find these two works less than engaging however. The models have indifferent expressions and the poses themselves are not strong.

If these works are part of a series or something they may be stronger in context. I really need to see more of your stuff.

Hmmm.
Thanks for the comments. They are from a drawing group that involves a classroom-type setting so I didn't really have a say in these poses or expressions... I just tried to make the best of the pose and the angle that I had to work with. I agree with your criticisms. Thanks for looking at my deviantart page. Hopefully you got a better feel for my work there.
