Yeah. I actually just posted my views on the flare thing on my journal. Mostly it's what I said earlier here but this part is new and basically my whole problem with them:
"My problem with lens flares really boils down to this, to have a lens flare you you need a lens. In other words, you need a camera. Lens flares are constant reminders that what you're seeing isn't real. It draws attention to the film making, possibly at the detriment of the actual film. It's as if a book played the soundtrack of some one typing anytime it was opened to keep the reader reminded that what they're reading is just a book, and to pull them back to that reality in case they started to lose themselves in the narrative."
Still going to hold off on my final judgment until I've seen the film. My guess, at this point, is that the flares will bug me but that I'll still enjoy the film over all.
