The only thing I hate about drawing from a photo is when the photo is perfect, it is hard to stray away from it and make it your own thing. Very quickly into drawing this I decided to make the picture more like the photo than I would have liked, because the photo is great. The only thing I changed its the eyes.
It was great fun to do.

Sometimes I turn the image into grayscale and try to figure out the colours myself. that way its kinda impossible to copy it.

Sometimes i only draw the construction lines from the reference and rest of the picture from my imagination. That would kill the looks tho

I haven't tried to do caricatures yet because I have enough trouble getting the looks. Kinda feels like even if i stray 0.1 millimeter from the reference i instantly loose the looks. So how I'm supposed to exaggarate things while keeping the looks?

Very cool artworks people! I stumbled across this site again and dug up my old account from a couple of years ago, so i guess you could say this is my first post... kinda.
Anyways I saw this Jam thing and couldn't resist having a go at it. Any creative crits are always welcome too! Enjoy!
