At first glance I thought Chris Cunningham (Come to Daddy, Rubber Johnny) might have had something to do with it. Makes me wish he would get around to making a movie. I imagine it would be some creepy shit.

Besides that, the premise doesn't seem all that original, but with Del Toro and the guy who made Cube attached, it should be great.

I knew what was going to happen in this movie after a half hour in. I understood there was a scene that was going to occur...a specific kind of scene and I wasn't the least bit surprised when it happened, but...Jesus man! It's still fucked up.

And then they made it worse!

I would say it's worth seeing but I found parts of it disappointing. I wanted it to be scarier. Instead, it's sort of watered-down Cronenberg.

Great effects, however. And the French girl who plays Dren looks hot, even with weird legs and a tail.

The creature work in this film is top notch and there are interesting themes that they try to explore, but on the whole it's a mess.
Every time I thought it was going to be interesting, the film does something totally idiotic.
Everything from location choice to costume is stupid.

You do get to see the monsters tits though.
So that's good, yeah?
