I totally didn't mean to stir up drama or anything.
I was surprised to hear that J.G. Jones even made it as far as Issue 5, as I'd heard he hadn't made it that far and Doug Mahnke was finishing it off.
Maybe I shouldn't even have an opinion of Final Crisis, as it just reads a mess, and the art since #1 seemed rushed, much like Yu's Secret Invasion stuff.
These big crossovers are just product, and rushing these poor artists for "fast" cash just turns my stomach.
I LOVE superheroes and when I read these things, I have no idea what's going on or what's important....nothing feels permanent.
So, maybe I'm just a cranky, elitist grampa, but this crap isn't the future of mainstream comics.
It's a horrible cross-over grift.
No one can create art under these pressures.
Maybe I'm naive for feeling that comics can be art and product.
