If I ever make it to 78, I hope I'm a badass, too.

It's like Dirty Harry retired to a house out in the suburbs...

I think Clint Eastwood is the 78 year old guy that can still scare the crap outta me.

They should have called it Coot.

(And, yes, I'm doing the pee-pee dance over here. Looks great.)

I thought it was a comedy after watching the first minute. Pulling the 'hand' gun out of his jacket, Clint's kids getting chucked out of the house on his birthday and the spitting match with the Chinese woman, all seemed very comedic.

Looks great though. I like that he seems like a very flawed hero.

I know what you mean, Chris. It feels like Heartbreak Ridge 2. He's even doing the voice.

The synopsis on IMDb sounds very different from what the trailer suggests.

'Disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski (Eastwood) sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possesion: his 1972 Gran Torino.'

Wouldn't be surprised if Clint's confrontations with the gang is only a very small part of the movie.

Considering Hollywood's reputation for making misleading trailers, it's to be expected.

You know that Clint is the only man his age that can still pull of being a bad ass. I can't wait to see this movie. Loved the trailer and Clint's movies are all gold.

Just got back from the theater. Damn fine film. Can't really say much more than that. I really enjoyed it, but can't pinpoint any specifics. Just a simple, but extremely well made film.

It was a lot funnier than I was expecting. Clint was kinda like Dirty Harry morphing into Archie Bunker in this, though still retaining the hardass attitude.
They say you should never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is, on occasion, hilarious.

The film could've been good and had nice ambition, but it suffered from really amaeteur writing and acting ...especially from Clint. He hasn't acted this cartoony in years.

Just got back and I actually thought it was a really good film. It brought up a lot of interesting points about people and tolerance as well as sacrifice. It doesn't hurt that Eastwood is a talented director. At 78 I still felt he had screen presence and his performance was poignant. Anyway, worth seeing in the theaters.
peace,
