I really like your graphic take on it, Ian... the tats make the woman. How'd you manage to get such nice, crips lines and shapes?

Nightwing, she reminds me of someone from my childhood cartoons (though don't ask me who, I don't remember). I tend to draw all over the back of things too (the last thing I did that with was a student's marked exam... didn't go down too well... LOL).

I got drawn to the texture and lighting on her pants and the idea of drawing in white on a black background. Took me a little longer than I was expecting... I don't know my way around PS as well as I would like.

I have noticed that the top half of her from the waist up is slightly too big and that I forgot to put the highlight on her shoulder.

I like everyone's so far... it's interesting to see all the different interpretations of Kat's tats.

Thanks! It's pencil and Painter X mostly... though I did scribble the tattoos in Photoshop after 10 minutes of staring at it thinking, "....how do I do that?" hehe

Yeah, I know what you mean about the tats. I originally wasn't even going to do anything about them but thought I'd at least allude to them.

Painter X? Is that a short, hairy, angry, Canadian program?

I'm skipping the tats all together and going for something different. Still in the sketch phase though, round one was pretty shabby

Here's my take on it. I didn't like all the tattoos so I ditched that and went for something with a more tiki flare to it.

Also, guys, you need to know that the Orphan Works is going into effect which means that if someone was to lift this work here and sell it/use it on their website, they basically could and there's nothing you can do about it (they have to say they did research to find the original artist...but that could be so loosely interpreted that it's not even funny).

so my advice would be to make your images smaller and put a watermark on them if you don't want them showing up on Joe-Schmoe's website and him claiming the work as his own and/or selling it.

yeah it's pretty nasty stuff. I could lift all the images off the drawing jams, turn around and sell them (or use them on my website) and even if the artist called me I'd say "oh, well, I tried to find you...but their mine now"

Mmocarski- That's great work. I love the spontaneous feel you captured.

Exmoure- great body and detail. Not sure about the face/likeness though. But the lighting and texture etc is great.
