I think he deserved at least that much, as does anyone who dies doing what they love.

Looking at what I said again, the use of the phrase "crappy art" in my first post was a tad insensitive, given the nature of the news.
I'm not going to edit it, because I'd rather people think I'm an ass who at least can admit it, than try and pretend I never said it in the first place.
I've never met, worked with or employed Michael Turner, so his passing isn't going to affect me emotionally, professionally or financially. The only effect I'll notice is a lack of his artwork where comics are sold - I didn't like his art when he was alive, and his being dead doesn't change that.
So, I'm apologizing for how I said something, but not for what I said. The sentiment still stands
If people want to call me tactless or insensitive, that's their prerogative. But I won't be a hypocrite.
Incidentally, the Board rule about "tact being the order of the day" is meant for member-to-member communication. If we all had to mind our Ps and Qs when discussing everything, then a good part of this section (and about 50% of the Movie section) would no longer exist.

You do realize that, ultimately, your comment was insulting towards 'Tinman2040' don't you? I believe that qualifies as "member-to-member communication".

I wasn't insulted by ems remark, I had no idea Michael Turner passed away nothing was mentioned here and most likely would not have if past vocals were considered. Ironically I was not a huge fan of his work either but to say I hated it would be going over the mark!! There was a few artpieces I liked I had a poster he designed but none of his books. But thats not to say he didnt have a legion of fans, He Did! He gave the witchblade her unique look that they are now making a movie and he created a comics line 'Aspen' I think it was called!! Despite what you may think of him he lived his dream to many of us, it still is a dream!! Ultimately you can't blame a guy for making it!! RIP
Ps. One hopes that drawingboard members are afforded the luxury of a RIP Post, despite whatever their artistic ability or credibility is!!
His passing is a terrible loss to his family and friends, but not to the comics' industry.
