I picked up The Alex Toth Doodle Book last week and highly recommend it, but was disappointed to discover a printing error in my copy and was wondering how widespread it is. Following page 192, pages 161-192 are repeated, followed then by 225-256. So basically it's missing pages 193-224.

There is a printing error in some copies. When i bought mine from the publisher at SanDiego con he flipped through it real quick to make sure i had a "good copy." He stated that they just got these from the printer and that there was an error with a few pages in a few copies. So far my copy is good although i've only read half so far. I was a bit upset because the cover laminate has started to peel.I am tempted to send it back for a new one but it's too much hassle. I would gladly buy a new copy just to support this fantastic book anyway. It's a great great book. Fantastic sketches, repro quality, and an insight for better and worse into Toth the man. A MUST !!

Hi all
here is a Flash and Atom story by Alexander Toth
Published in France in 1973 in "Batman geant 7"
as the <<Franck Robbins Batman>> it's half in B/W half color
because of an economical reason I guess.
I'm not sure for that one if the original pages were respected
Some pages have strip missing (filled with add I removed)

Thanks for posting these guys.

Flaviano - You're right! Great staging on that one page. Anyone know what story that is? HOS = House of Secrets?

The Space Ghost & Dino Boy DVD has an extra feature called Simplicity: The Life and Art of Alex Toth , which runs about an hour and 20 minutes.

I backtracked the thread a bit and didn't see that mentioned

Ha, that's it. Just a look at his work again confirms why he was the greatest.
