SDCC SKETCH SESSION 2008 POLL

I wanted a separate thread for this.

I'm planning the session for Con this year and I need to know a couple of things:

Did you like having music last year? If i were to get a DJ that actually plays GOOD music, would that be cool? Are the couches and comfy chairs an important part of the appeal? do you need more light?

and if so

Would those attending be willing to pay a $5 cover? More?

I'm thinking of reserving the room, or something else like it. (with bar and seats, tables, LIGHTS and the like)

hit me back on this thread with any input. OR would you rather i just throw a party?

(and while I really really want to keep this free on an already expensive weekend, getting the cooler perks costs some.)

It beats the $10 I pissed away last year to attend an event that we decided was lame within 5 minutes of being there. We also wasted a precious hour of drinking in the hotel.
I've always liked the space that it's been in. Although, yes the lighting can be a bit dank at times. The dj was a nice touch last year also.
The most important things are the people, drawing and booze. I leave everyone to arrange their own order of that.

i've never been to a sketch session, but have been wanting to.

i should be at the con this year, so if it's cool, i'd be down to join anyone and pay the 5 bucks.

I'd be down to pay 5 bucks. Is it going to be in the same place as last year (the south lounge of the Marriott)? So long as it's within walking distance of the con, I am there. I'm gonna totally draw some stuff.
