no it doesn't weep.... it 'peeps'. that is the genius of Tamale Jubilee... she actually convinced a guitar to break character, pop up from behind a bush and quite literally 'peep'
I think that maybe for the people at festivals with things to do and possibly with an idea that they are there to critique the offerings then it may fall flat in some fashion 'well it was no Ben Hur gentlemen... but then again neither was spartacus... or jaws.. it's really quite paint your wagon but with shades of 9 to 5...the credits were a little too blue for me.. blah blah'... I went along with three chicks... an inuit, a native american and a country singer and we laughed, rolled about and generally had a lovelly old stab at it. We all thought it was marvellous and emerged smiling and all of a jiggle. Maybe i missed the cleverness gone awry... the buggered imagery and all that.... it was laughable? I thought that was on purpose, I laughed all through it... ignorance is bliss right?
I still recommend it. 46 thumbs up from me
....a guitar that weeps... that's funny right?
