I've been using Andrew Loomis's book, "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth" to bone up on my anatomy and proportion. Since I cartoon most of the time, I can hide gaps in my knowledge that I can't get away with when attempting realism. Overall, I found that my knowledge of the muscles is pretty good from weight lifting. My knowledge of the bones, however is where I found a few cracks in the foundation.
This exercise exposed that my understanding of how the pelvis and femur work in the body. It doesn't seem like much but I feel like my drawing is improving with this knowledge. It'll take a little while to commit all this to memory and to automate the knowledge into my drawing, but it's a good start:
