It's called Pandora. It's pretty cool and useful for finding new music. Enjoy

Doesn't slow mine down. But it gets pretty generic fast and I'm often skipping songs.

I liked Pandora at first, but as Rick mentioned...it does get a bit generic quickly. A site I've been into for quite some time now is http://hypem.com/popular this site basically compiles several people's music blogs and puts them in one convenient site complete with its own music player and search engine. I've discovered many artists through this site, like Feist (a year or so before her iTunes commercial), Cat Power , The Concretes, The Redwalls etc.

I was about to say that music blogs are where it's at for new music. The nobody music fans of the world generally know about all the new music as soon as there's any info.

A lot of people started using this at work and they all complain about its genericity... but you just have to keep adding more and more bands into the station you've made and you'll get a wider variety of artists back. If you keep your band list small, the amount of other artists it gives you is going to be small as well. It's a hassle but it keeps the list fresher. It's really not any different than an iTunes playlist. If you never add anything new to it, you're going to hear the same things over and over again until they purchase the rights for more artists.

The top music of 2007 according to music blogs. Discover some neat stuff.

http://hypem.com/zeitgeist/songs

Go to the root site for new songs hourly. Plus use the artist/song search. Plug in a favorite artist and find live songs and remixes, etc.

I agree that Pandora starts to get the same after a (short) while. Something I've been having fun with lately is Slacker.com. It's basically just internet-streaming radio organized into a bunch of channels but I've found a few I really like. Anyhow, just another site worth possibly checking out.
Visit my Sketch-blog or my web site (or not, if you don't feel like it.)
