First "Last Man on Earth" then "The Omega Man" and now...

I Am Legend

Looks pretty good. But I'm still hoping for Albinos with monk hoods, afros and uzis.

Bummer... Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell would've been the PERFECT team to re-make The Omega Man.

Bruce starring and Sam directing would be freakin' brilliant.

I'm a fan of the novel and both film versions, so color me stoked about this one. Would still like to see Sam and Bruce take this on. They seem like two movie/sci-fi geeks that would know the material backwards (and anything else Richard Matheson has written).,

Cautiously hopeful

Anyone know if Anthony Zerbe is still around? He'd be great in a cameo. I always thought he had a really distinctive voice. As for big Willie style. Who knows. Sometimes he's a good fit with the material, sometimes not, but to go from Vincent Price, to Charlton Heston, to Wil.....I'll cross my fingers.

It looks fairly interesting, though it might just be my hope for a pretty good movie that's keeping my interest for this. Will Smith doesn't seem to be too bad of a fit, even though he looks as though he's playing his last three or four action roles.

I'm interested in seeing if they'll keep the living infected idea, and the whole "he really is the last man on Earth, so he's a myth" kinda thing. Seems somewhat disheartening for hollywood, but who knows.

I Am Legend

Saw it last night.

And you know what? It wasn't bad!
Will Smith actually acted in this one and didn't "smiff" it up.

Different than the book....enough to question why it needed the "I Am Legend" sticker on it, but hey....hollywood is retarded.

Kinda still wished that Ridley Scott did it.

But it honestly wasn't bad at all.
Rubbery cgi effects were fairly atrocious.

My excitement for No Country For Old Men was the direct inverse of my interest in seeing this movie.

saw last night and I REALLY enjoyed it

Naturally there were aspects I would have changed but overall i thought it was handled really well. Will Smith was just terrific, cinematography was great, design was great (New York looked incredible), falshbacks were tasteul

I wasn't botherfed by the CG at all really

it's not a classic film by any means, but totally worth seeing, i think

SOME SPOILERS

saw it yesterday, having just read the book, i was disappointed in its lack of faithfullness to the story. though Smith did a good job he did not seem to be having such a bad time, something that really made you interested in the books character was his oppressively macabre and monotonous life.
i thought the crazy zombie like baddies were lame and the CG was annoying, especially the main dude. they should have been real people as vampires, not spiderman zombies. cmo'n, they talked in the book.

i was super dissapointed when the chick didn't end up being a spy for the dark seekers such as it was in the book. and the whole notion that she knew there was a settlement cuz god told her was lame too.

lastly it should'nt have been called i am legend cuz they completely eliminated the whole reason the story was named that, which was my favorite aspect of the book.

by it's own right it was a great movie, and will smith did a great job in it. so it still is something to go see, just don't read the book, because the movie will be a disappointment in terms of story.

dont get me wrong, great movie, loved it, not just not what was expected,

i thought what they did with NYC was really cool, very desolate, and the first scene with the dark seekers, FLIPPING SCARY, very well shot i thought. the action sequences at the end were very well done, despite the goofy cg zombies,

sheesh, :D

A really good movie...a mixture of your more for thought fall movie and your summer blockbuster. It did not swat overly to one side.

The acting was great. There are mor ethan a few youching scenes in the movie..

one with Will's family, a mannequin 9several really) and a dog. I know this might sound loopy but trust..It is good stuff.

The CGI was great in terms of what the effects artist did to make you believe you were in a desolate New York City. The CGI of the antagonist did not bother me. In fact the movements were kind of inhuman and came off well.

There were great key moments in discussing human kind and the relationships between.

I must admit I did not read the book, So going into it I had nothing to cross reference the source material. Having not read the book the movie definitely stands on it's own.

Great acting, good suspence and and some food for thought. A nice combination whereas for fall/summer movies it is usually either or.

I recommend it.
