Tony Wilson the silly sausage behind the hacienda, factory records and a whole pile of good things has popped his clogs this weekend. He did a great deal for a great many people and from what i can gather was mostly called a prick for it. Hard to quantify the fella for our american pals here but suffice to say joy division/ new order, the happy monday, various drug peddlars and granada reports/ northwest tonight owe him a large glass of cheer.

He was pretentious, he was weird, he was a character....

Pisser, 57 is too young, really. Everytime Wilson opened his gob but he was worth listening to, whether you thought he was full of shit or not, and he was allways about shaking things up in the establishment, always a good character trait, especially in the entertaintment biz.
