DAMN Rick! Why do you have to look so serious?
And why do you have to be so productive after the con? I got back from it and ate and slept. Although I have to say that I am glad that I am in none of these photos. I was kind of a caffinated zombie by Saturday night.

Francesco- I missed you! There were some people asking about you as well (Senti asked when I went over to his booth if you were here).

All in all it was busy fun. Was great to meet Brian (Obi Wan), Michael Cho (chobot), Bobby Chiu, Kir, Rick, Luca (the genius), Viktor and Josh (Atomic Terrier) as well as getting to see David P, Robin (pepe), Rob, Marty (paintmonster), bob (qwacker), Rod Guen, Cheeks and many others again.

Picked up some cool swag (loving Bill's book), found a publisher for Legendary and a few possible job leads. All in all a great convention. And as much as I am going to hate to be admitting to this, but I can't wait until next year!!!!

Time for me to retire back into the MattCave for the night.

(kir, you were right about me being a bit overly-wordy...damn you! you also need to pm me your mailing address so I can send you a copy of my last year's sketchbook)

I had a great time meeting the lot of you.

It was great to finally put faces to your screennames: Luca, Pedro, Jakob, Scruffy, Neel, the dudes from Mukpuddy (fucking hilarious bunch), Jamie, Scott, Gary, Pascal, Robin, Javier, Mike (what?), Bobby, MassiveSwerve, CosmicPencil (who looks much younger than he really is...bastard), Jayson, Maverikanim (did you ever get that photo with Bill Plympton?), Monkeyfeather, Alberto, Chobot and the rest of you scallywags.

It was good to see all the familiar faces and old friends as well: Rick, Kir, Paul, Rodolphe, Andrew, Keith, Sean, Howard, Ed, Marty, Ratna, Phil, Kazu, Rob, Sue, Kevin, Chris, Ahmed, Daniel and everyone else.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table and said 'hi' or bought something.

I also enjoyed the insane amount of Irish girls who were acting as convention "elites." Irish girls are hot.

Next year, I plan to drink more than one beer and stay within walking distance.

I just got back, it took me 14 hours of traveling, but I made it. it was a great time I wish there had been time for like 50 more beers but that convention thing kept getting in the way of drinking. next time I'll stay closer to the convention.

emceeONE: I went and He hooked me up with a bunch of crap and a picture as well.

Even though I'm running on empty, I already look foarwrd to next year.

Cheers!!!

I spent too much cash as well, and there were still MANY things I wish I had gotten. Bill Pressing's book was amazing, and the bastard looks so young too...how old is he anyway, 16?!? I didn't get to see the Creaturebox guys...sucks, and Kevin Dart and Chris Turnham left early on Sunday so I couldnt buy their stuff :x (you guys gonna make that stuff available online anytime soon?? Everybody's stuff is amazing, so much inspiration. Cant wait till next year!

I had a ball at the session.
Usualy, i just have a few drinks and the session is over...

This time, i managed to draw some stuff for a few people
as well, which could be considered somewhat of an accomplichment.

This was a great Con for me.

I cannot wait for next year, with a new sketchbook and some stories in Flight too.

'love ya all.

It was great meeting everyone. I would post pictures, but I barely took any this year. I was too busy flapping my gums, blah blah blah.

The sketchbook session was AWESOME. Nice job setting it up Kir!

Cool Keychains Gary.

Next year I WILL have a book!

Great con despite the lack of table. I had a couple good meetings, some good connections and met and re-met lots of talented poeple.
I bought alot and yet not enough. I tried learning my lesson about loading up my backpack with sketchbooks at the beginning of the day. But then I'd be so wiped out by the end of the day I'd forget to make my way back to the tables I wanted to revisit.
Sketchbook I will echo, was awesome. I think the dj was a great addition to the party.
Amazingly, my little Groo drawing wound up in the Con's souvenier guide (page 111). I showed it to Sergio and he loved it! 8) He signed my book and I gave him a print of the drawing.
I also kind of neglected to take my camera out until the last day. But I took some shots of the Session: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10735531@N07/sets/72157601120494600/

Nice meeting all of you. I was surprised that when I went around to the other sketchers that night and asked if they were from the drawing board that a lot of them were confused and said "Huh? Is there a board everyone is drawing on that is being passing around?"

I'm sorry I missed everyone at the session. I was at the booth all four days for most of each day, so I barely had a chance to even catch any panels or walk the floor. I did get to meet some great artists and writers from 12 Gauge like Cully Hamner, Jason Pearson, Brian Stelfreeze, Paolo Parente, Davide Fabbri, and Chris Moreno. Not to mention the folks that came by the table like Humberto Ramos, Jeff Matsuda, and Dave Johnson. Made some connections, had some eye-opening conversations about the business side of this little thing we do, and had a great time all around. But, I wish I had been there with y'all.

Maybe next year because I'll definitely be back after this one.
