I tried to get a bit more grounded feel on the second draft, added some more highlights and shadows and put in a more lighted feel with a green tint that I actually painted in and just layered on top...

This is my first and second draft of a rose painting I did just for practice and experimentation
I tried to get a bit more grounded feel on the second draft, added some more highlights and shadows and put in a more lighted feel with a green tint that I actually painted in and just layered on top...

- this is with some green light as well as light and more highlights... I think I did achieve a bit more of a grounded and organic feel here...
