Jam 43 - Is There a Doctor in the House

Postby em... » Sun Jul 01, 2007 6:54 am

This month's Jam is all about Doctors.

Any character who is a qualified physician or uses the title of "doctor" is welcome.

I haven't quite finished my intial piece (paying work got in the way), but here's a tantalising close-up of part of the image. Hopefully he should be recognisible

Holy smokes! That is one intense gaze! If this is the teaser then the finished piece will have to rock!

That's just how he looked at Ann Robinson when he was booted off 'The Weakest Link' last night too...

em bro that is an amazing take on the new doc. Can I ask you a question? Is your work digital or canvas? I just can't tell the difference with your work.

Thank you all for the kind words on my 10th Doctor.

nuffinc - Yeah, I watched that last night too.

trialsze - It's digital.

SawDust - That is a cracking portrait of Mr Hugh Laurie as House.

I was kind of expecting to see a few more entries already. :( Oh... yes Saw Dust That is a good pic. Even I recognize him and I've never seen anything more than commercials for the show.

Anyway, I figured I would do this while I had the time. "Damn it Jim, I'm a Doctor, not a magician!"

 No Shawn, I'm not a machine... I'm half Norwegian and half Irish... that makes me too stubborn to know when to quit fighting. :) These too took me about 8 hrs combined. My wife was starting to get pissed. Anyway. I'm using GIMP... it's open source software. Not necessarily the slickest most intrinsic interface in the world, but it doesn't skimp on the features and the price is right. FREE! As for the Jack Elam pic... I'm just mad cause I didn't think of him first. :D

That explains it I'm half French and half Irish :D It must be an Irish thing
I knew you were married and I thought she might be miffed at you for spending so much time, but heck, she's got to be a bit proud of you for improving soooooo much. Keep at it but take care of yor loved-ones, the computer can be addictive  I'm headed to Illinois in about a week and I already know I am going to miss my wacom and hi-speed internet, that's why I'm taking a sketch pad and camera :D :D :D

Man, a 'Doctor' jam and so far no Strange, Doom or Octopus. Time to remedy that.

Doctor Strange!

If I find a spare hour here or there I'd love to do some more doctor themed sketches.
