For You

For You
Just rockin' out in the clouds!
It's nice to have all the free time in the world on the weekends to do my own work.

This one took me awhile to get right. I had to do some experiments with color, because I was losing the original feeling when I painted over the drawing.

Penciled, scanned, and painted in Photoshop.

Here is a link to my blog for the drawing:

Did you mean you actually painted the picture from scratch or is it an original picture scanned and painted over?

If so i'm astonished. Also how on earth did you get those lips so perfect.

Edit
lol I saw your blog. Wow how on earth did you get those lips so real.

Secondly isn't there a law against being so skilled.

Oh! I think you were talking about the Gera Painting. That was ALL Photoshop. No drawing....just start from a solid bg color

"For you"-Drew it first on paper, then scanned and painted over.

:D

But can you tell us which song inspired you for the first drawing of this tread, so we can enjoy your drowing with the right music? ;)

It was Inertiatic ESP by The Mars Volta. I love that song. He has an amazing voice.

Give In

Another personal painting just for fun. He took about 4 hours, drawing included. I'm trying to loosen up a bit with my painting style, and just let them be more experimental so I can focus on the overall mood.
:P
And of course here is my blog link for the drawing and detail:

Really, really nice work Claudia. It's great to see such a proficient digital artists pushing to the realism extreme and also stay loose with their imaginative work.
