Been a little busy lately and haven't been in the last few jams (plan on catching up soon). Still getting used to my new tablet, this was fun practice.
other poses later if time allows.

First time using painter, it's gonna take getting used to

sloppy bunny-great angle, might not see so much of her face at that angle though?
Elvez-nice, would be better to see some of the drapery in the first pose so her skinny arm makes more sense.
Creamdog- VAVAVA voom, lovely!
bloo_n_green-nice line work, I just wouldn't put those mouth cheeklines, that facial feature is more of a shading thing, and it ages the model.
Ms. Que- I love it!! reminds me of prince of egypt
Big Al- OOO so fluid 1st one's my fav.
maverikanim-Beautiful!
bleupencil-real nice! very confident lines, i love it!
eraserfoot-i really like the eyes
visual myriad- I love it!! cute kitty!
Cscarlet-*see bloo_n_green
mechamar-nice to see it colored
trickmonkey-i like the girl, nice and loose, but the BG seems weird against her, and too close to her skin color.
visual myriad 2-beautiful!!!
blackv8- nice colors & likeness
empty- really nice, very natural looking
sinj-looking good

Nice job young at art. It feels loose and finished at the same time.

empty: very nice!
blackv8: like the rough strokes, but her jaw seems a little protruded.
aicarg: thank you for the lovely comment -- hope you get time to play along with us.
sinij: like the simplified style. reminds me of a cartoonist, but the name escapes me.
lavern and shirley: thanks for the comments. very impressionistic piece and i recommend sticking with Painter. i've been using it for about 4 months now and i'm only just starting to feel comfortable with playing around with some of the settings so hope you persevere.
youngatart: thanks -- took about 3 hours all up. it was actually looking better (more sketchy about half an hour before), but i stopped too late. oh well. that's great -- always love your linework. really nice lines and those lips are so full and gorgeous.
eraserfoot: nice and tight, and good forms.
defensestrator: not crazy about the copper look to the skin, but the form and drawing i really enjoy.

last one from me -- its been a while since i was able to knock out 3 poses, but was very inspired by that hot looking honey!

hey all...

Postby empty » Fri Feb 09, 2007 12:28 am

great stuff, everyone... i'm gonna try and c&c everyone, even if it is abbreviated.

sloppy bunny, elvez, bloongreen, cscarlet, mechamar
these are great sketches, if you don't mind my suggestion, you should take more time and really analyze the model and her proportions. not to mention how the anatomy overlaps and intersects. (sloppy- like your exaggerated perspective)

creamdog, msque, big al, maverikanim, bleupencil, eraserfoot, trickmonkey, moonman
love the style of all of these... *applause*

youngatart
i like the fact that you turned it into a story. very intrigueing... although, i wish you would have put a couple splashes of color on the hand and gun. the gun is also too close to the edge.

blackv8, sinj, L&S, Defenstrator
love the colored versions, great work. (L&S- Love the feel of the oil paints you got out of Painter, Defenstrator- that tatto looks awesome. The shine on the shoulder looks great.)

Visual Myriad---
BLOWING MY MIND!!! loving it... only using Painter for 4 months and getting those results. RAD. i enjoyed all the work on your blog as well.
stuff...

Here is my contribution. I've been reading "The Club Dumas" lately (that's the book that "The Ninth Gate" with Johnny Depp is based on, a favorite of mine). The whole concept of the devil in love and taking the form of a beautiful lady, combined with the Milton "fallen angel" thing was thus spooking around in my head.

Big Al and empty's are great... I absolutely love your first two, Visual Myriad, but the third one looks too much like a Barbie doll in the face area... great painting style.
