So this started as a drawing for my niece but I am enjoying myself so much I just thought I would keep adding to it. If anyone has any dragon art that they would like to add to the post feel free I would love to see it.

i find that humanoid arms and serpent bodies are less than harmonious. But that's more an anatomical comment than an artistic one. Maybe it's the lack of a chest and subsequent shoulders? What do i know? Ask Kei or Jolly Jack, they got dragons cold. Nice sketch all the same.

Thanks for the advice, instead of redrawing the first dragon I thought I would try some different styles and see what I like. Here are a couple of sketches I did today.

Thanks Sawdust, indeed dragons are cool and I am starting to enjoy drawing them, maybe I will throw some color on a couple of these.

Since this was the only one to get a response I though I would give it a little detail.

Yup, dragons are fun to draw. :) Since they are imaginary critters, then one can't really crit the anatomy. I think if you made his front shoulders a little meatier he'd look a little tougher. The line of your wings get a little confusing. Where the one sticks out from behind his head, it almost looks like another horn and the top line of that wing runs very close to the neck... also creating another odd illusion. Still, I like his overall look. It must've took forever to do all those scales.
Here are a couple I did a year or so ago. Just the heads, and the "flames" are more place holders as they were (at the time) just possible candidates for part of a tattoo. (Not on me. Ouch.) I wasn't sure just what he wanted for a look in that department. Hopefully the dude has come to his senses and gotten a real artist to draw up something for him.

snuff huffer: Sorry about the miss leading title, maybe you should start a pooping dragons post.

Mcsween: thanks for the advice I will keep it in mind when I start my next one. By the way your dragons are awesome and I think they would make some sweet tattoos.

Cartuneman: all types of dragons are welcome here, I like your style it reminds me of one of my favorite movies,The sword in the stone.

Scruffy dog: your wife must have loved that, did you come up with the story as well It was very touching.

Heres a couple more I did a while back.

I don't know why I like to do all these damn scales.

I did this one about ten years ago. I had an idea for a tattoo. Thank goodness I never got this done.
