Illustration rights?

Postby YannickBelzil » Fri Oct 20, 2006 7:48 am

Hi,

I have another question to pros out here--price & rules ethical guidelines handbook is pretty old and I havent found a good answer to my question in it which follows;

I'm doing an illustration/visual thing to accompany a logo for a store.

They want to be able to put it on business cards, pamphlets and etc.
On top of my fee, I'm told that I have to set a price to sell the rights so the store can use it forever and ever.
How do I set that particular price? How much should it be?

Thanks in advance to whomever can help.

Multiply the price by 5.

For example, if you made a logo for $500, charge $2,500 for the rights.
