Character Jam - Wolverine

Postby em... » Mon Jun 19, 2006 3:36 pm

We had an X-23 Jam a few weeks back, and now it's the turn of her "daddy" - James Howlett AKA Logan AKA Wolverine - created by Len Wein and Herb Trimpe (based on designs by John Romita)

Character Info
Wolverine is one of the most popular of comics' characters, and also has one of the most convoluted histories (see the first link for a complete profile)

Short of temper and stature, Canada's foremost mutant hero possesses enhanced animal-like senses and a healing factor that repairs wounds and also helps him to age at a slower rate than normal.

In addition to his natural abilities, he has been surgically altered by the "Weapon X" program, and his skeleton laced with adamantium (the hardest metal known), which renders him nigh on indestructable.

Em... -- Great pose, I love the face and the skin tone. Wolvie's claws look like they could tear through a tank!

Toonimator -- Cool pic, I like how weighty his build is... I like the flat tones.

hey G -- I haven't seen the new movie yet, but I'm assuming that's where the idea for the pic came from. Intersting concept

Here's a little wolvie for everyone. Going for a bit more of the WildC.A.T.S./X-men look... obviously not as cool as Charest's take.

Marcelo, that's great!

Euan... okay... I loved your Wolvie yesterday, but took another look this morning and WOW. Seriously, you need to be doing Wolverine covers or something. They should've found an actor who looks like your painting here to play him in the movies... Jackman was good, but a 6'2" slender Wolverine is not what most fans were expecting. Probably my favorite out-of-costume Logan!
