Hey Scott! Man, Thank you so much! Dude, I LOVE your work, it's so tight! So a great piece of feedback from you really means a lot! Thank you SOOOO much, dude! More on the way, man!

And Wei2k! Thanks! Yeah, the is a kinda sadness running through the One Night in the City story, but maybe it'll all come good in the end, who knows...! Keep reading, friend!

Okay, so I thought I'd post a little piece of concept art from MOON! today. We've got around 300 pages of environment, character and vehicle sketches already in the can for MOON!, so expect to see more stuff like this reeeeeal soon!

:D :D

what I like about your stuff is that although this is/seems to be a smaller piece, and isn't colored, the effort and detail you put into it is equal to you bigger pieces....

these are like the great appetizers that people serve at a restaurant that make you look forward to the starter and main course more.

Visual Development is sometimes the best kind of art (other than comic pages)...
Sorry for the short reply, it is 5 AM, and I just really came here to post the pencils for the Headcase cover in the Superhero section, but decided to flop around a little on the drawingboard.
I look forward to more vis dev!

I'll have to confiscate your crack pipe now. ;D

Seriously though, thank YOU. I'd love to work with you some day. I really dig the feel of this work. We could spend at least half our time telling each other how much we like one another's work. (hehe)

Hey Nyala! Hehe! That's a great piece of feedback! Yeah, I really get a kick out of the little details that make up the big image, so I guess I spend the most part trying to squeeze as many little elements and characteristics into the most mundane things! Love that appetiser comment, I hope you've got a big appetite, 'cos there's a whole lot on the menu! Er...or something...are we still talking about comics, 'cos I'm getting hungry...

Matt! Thanks, man! Yeah, I love all the design stuff, especially with a project like MOON! there's so much to invent! And thenks for the heads up on the headcase, as they say. I've left some suitably impressed feedback over there for you. Pleas come back in and let me know when other stuff goes up, as it's so easy to miss things in this forum! Great work, dude!

Scott! Hoho! Yeah, man, and that'd be some crazeya$$ project with the two of us on board, huh?!! Hoho! Thanks, man!

Well, folks, ole' Lorenzo's off to Edinborougugh-burg in Sc-c-c-cotland to do a few day's sketchin', so as this is the last post for this week, I thought I'd better make it a big one. So here, at a nice size for once, is the cover art for issue 9 of Malcolm Magic, before I cropped it all down and laid on the logo and stuff. Yikes! Ain't nothin' as exhilerating as a little Dragon sledging!!

More on Monday next week, friends!

Love what you are doing with the colors on the Moon piece.
I think I already had seen the Malcolm image before (I think you posted it before or something similar).

I'm still checking out this thread each time I hop on.
Hoping to have some Headcase updates soon, which I'll notify you at that time.

yup...I do have a big appetite.. :P

"dragon sledding" their facial expressions are hillarious! and ofcourse the art is beyond wow...

I mean sometimes you see someone showing their work and you like some...not so much other bits...and there are varying levels of how much you like what the person has done with the piece, however this thread (and I've noticed its not only me, but others as well) love everything thats on it..... :D

8) . nuff said.

Hey Matt! Thanks, man! Yeah, you will have seen the early Dangmas card version just before Chrimbo! Good memory! In that version I had added prezzies, santa hats etc!

Yeah, man, keep checking in, some real exclusives coming up these next few weeks, and please do come in and tell me when the new headcase stuff goes up, really looking foward to it!

NYALA! Girl, you're the best! Glad you liked the Malcolm pic, and thanks so much for you kind words! Hopefully I won't let you down with the coming updates, your comments keep me scribbling! Thank you! More all this week!

A little more One Night in the City today I think...

That piece kind of has a Narnia feel, maybe it's the lampost surrounded by trees that does that,

Hey Matt! Yeah, man, there is that kinda vibe, I guess! Thanks for the post, pal!

So, the MOON! wheels roll on, and I thought you guys may like to see a few of the smudgey character designs I've been sketching out. Today's is not a primary character, more a broad character feel experiment. Having not had to draw more than a couple of female characters in Malcolm during the entire run so far, it's looking like MOON!'s gonna be awash with "da ladies", as my man Strongbad might say. So, I'd better get scribbling!

Back on Friday, with something of an exciting exclusive!!! Yeah!

So, it's Friday, and as such I'm feeling more than a little excited about a nice long weekend. However, a bank holiday here in the UK means I won't be posting on Monday. Fear not though, friends, as I'll instead be treating you all to TWO postings today! Here's the first, a page from Malcolm Magic issue 9. What? No words?! I hear you guys, and don't worry, you'll be getting a nice slab of my brother's "unique" dialogue with a 4-page MM09 sequence reeeeeal soon! Hoho! Stay tuned, folks, and try to figure out how the guys are gonna get out of this one! No, the dragon CAN'T fly, well, not during this scene anyway (he's got a cold)!

All the best!

The expression on Malcom's face in the first panel is awesome! (as is the whole page!). To me if looks like he's saying in a not to worried voice "ummm, we just went off a cliff guys."

I also really like that "MOON" cockpit/pilot sketch. Everything you do looks so polished and finished. It is a good lesson for me to take in.

Keep it up!
