Like Rick, here are some of my favorites from when I was a kid

Galaxy High (Chris Columbus created the show, and John K did some kind of work on it)

Mighty Orbots (too bad they never had toys. It probably would have lasted longer)

MIGHTY ORBOTS!!!! :) Galaxy High was great..

Toon: Tranzor Z was the Americanized version of Mazinger Z from what I remember.

My favorite 80s action cartoon: Bionic Six!

You're correct, but its title sequence was a mashup of Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, showing both of the red pilot-pods and getting my hopes up. At 8, I didn't notice whether the head looked any different when the jet-like pod landed in it. So every morning I kept expecting the kid to jump into the new ship instead of the boring old hovercraft, especially when the Aphrodite II robot arrived, thinking Tranzor Z would get an upgrade as well. But I guess they only had the rights to air Maz-Z episodes!

Bionic Six was the best back then, besides transformers. I have fond memories of these two also...

I could never get into Bionic 6, but I dug Jayce & the WW for some reason. I never 'got' the hybrid thing but that's what you get when you build a cartoon series around a bunch of pilotless vehicle toys. :)

Never saw Galaxy Rangers, LOVED Starcom the few times I caught it (the toys were awesome!!)

Thundercats is another show with a fantastic opening that it didn't deserve. The animation & most of the stories were painful to sit through if you were over 10.

Ahhh, the Silverhawks.

Had the toys, never saw the show. How unfortunate that their primary villains lived on the inflamed hemorrhoid planet.

Uranus?

I watched Pole Position, too. I loved the opening. I remember having friends who didn't believe there was a cartoon called Pole Position..."you mean, like the video game? Shaddap!!!"
