I don't remember the opening to Voltron looking like that! What happened to the lions? And Pidge's glasses?

...oh... Voltes 5, you say... were those whip-things on the robot the equivalent to the shooting lion-head hands? I see they also had a big sword that seems to end the battle!

I gotta look up Great Mazinger, I couldn't find any Tranzor Z and I remember being horribly disappointed when the Great Mazinger-version was NEVER in any episodes. I liked the little pilot ship seen in the titles so much better than the hovercraft!!
