I don't care anymore. I just have to say that I laughed my ass off again and again because of this thread.

And like 2 of those times weren't from something I said myself.

And I'm going to take that picture and tape it to my wall.

And so, dear reader, we come full circle - it's almost poetic.

But the circle can never be complete, never! It's like a never ending road which goes onwards and never, erm, ends!

It's not over until the Symphony Orchestra pipes up and the fat lady takes her first intake of breath for the final number! But even then, it might never be over!

PS I personally liked the bit with the pygmies, man that never got old!

Hi gang. I've been away for a long time. The reason, of course being, that I and about 20 others have been working on a secret project with the characters. I really can't say anything more on the subject and I'm wondering if I should even post that much, but as many of us have pretty much given up our regular lives so that he could do what he wants with the characters, I felt I should say something.

Carry on.

This should've been locked right after em's eloquent post which wrapped things up beautifully. I'll consider everything after it the unneccesary sequel in which the budget is twice as big, but the actual script is still being rewritten while principal photography begins.

I've been working on the Video Game version of the secret project puptent mentioned, and though I cant reveal much due to my contractual obligation, I can say that The Characters appear to be done with each other. The voice-over sessions have been a nightmare, they refuse to be in the same room as one another, there appears to be some substance abuse run amuck...despite the supposed rehab stints they recently completed. He has been in a few V/O sessions to help us direct them, and you can tell that in his heart of hearts, he doesn't want to be done with them...but if The Characters continue on this path, I cant imagine he will have much of a choice but to be done with them for good.

The general consesus was that it had all gotten a little overblown and ridiculous, so the new movie is going to be a grittier back to basics reboot - Characters: the Beginning - relating the tale of how they all met.

I am cracking up at this. I just saw this thread and its amazing. hahaha.

I don't know how or why I posted this topic like that, I must have meant to respond to another post but hit 'new topic' instead. Or I was drunk, hah. Anyway if your dying to know (not to spoil the fun) I'm pretty sure I was talking about Kevin Smith and Clerks 2.

...and no, he was not done with those characters.

holy shit!

how did he swipe obstacle's user id?

well, if he's just going to make up shit
about this "kevin smith" (couldn't come
up with a better fake name than "smith"?
how sad), then obviously he's pretty
desperate to change the conversation.

it seems pretty clear that he is not
done, and that the whole side thing
with frankie muniz was his way of
coming to grips with it. glad he caught
up with the rest of us on this, i just
wish he'd quit all the bellyaching and
get back to doing what he does best,
with the characters we all know and
love. except t-bone.

worst talking shoe effect ever.

I'm currently looking into the theft of obstacle's user password with the mods. For now, let's get back to the pressing situation with the Characters.

What does everyone make of the latest Richard Dreyfuss involvement rumor?

If he's playing the narrator, looking back on the old times, then it'll be fine - as long as Wil Wheaton doesn't play the younger version.

I thought Wheaton was playing the younger version's opposite number? Kinda Eddie Brock to Adam Sandler's Peter Parker...

But it's still just a rumor anyway, right?
