em,
it looks as if the Rainbow jam next month will get something out of me...it seems there is a good variety of Color-named characters...so I'll have to post something up here when that jam starts...but here is a quick question pertaining to that certain jam: Booster Gold...does that count? I know Blue Beetle or Silver Surfer would fit the bill but Booster still has a color in his name...or does it pertain to characters who have the Color title as a basis of the characters significance/color (ie Green Arrow--has green arrows...etc.)

If a color's in the name, fair game!

Firefly - I think it might be best to bundle the henchmen in with a generic "villians" Jam, rather than on their own, or perhaps a possible "sidekicks" Jam.

CosmicPencil - As Kieth said, if there's a colour in the name, then the character is certainly suitable (and i would be dissapointed if Booster Gold didn't make an appearance).

What about a jam featuring natures elements?

With heroes who have elemental power.

Like Human torch, iceman, Poison Ivy...etc

was working on my color person (will not name whom just yet) and it came to me...
we should have a "creature feature" month where characters have something to do with animals/insects in their names...
for instance SPIDERman, the TICK, BATman, RHINO, LIZARD, LOBSTER johnson, etc. etc.
I think it could be real fun!

Those are both good ideas, Nick and Matt.

The Alternates

Postby jc_pawz » Sun Jan 15, 2006 2:10 pm

I would suggest one of two things:

1. Alternate reality or Time period characters. (already done by the comic or just a what if type scenario; like the different spideys or different batmans..e.t.c.

2. Sidekicks (nothing but characters that have acted as sidekicks, yknow robin, Fantastic Frogman, the young justice peoples, titans, yada yada yada.

I think both of those ideas have already been brought up - the first one is definitely going ahead.

Has it been decided what the jams are going to be for Aug through Dec?

Not entirely.

I'm thinking of August being an ape-related month (and aren't we all ape-related in a way? ) and october will be something to do with horror or dead people or that ilk (to tie in with Halloween), but I'll make a final decision in the next couple of months.

I'd like to suggest a Brain Child of Brian Pulido for October. Like Evil Ernie, LadyDeath, and the rest of Chaos Comics universe.

I think those would be covered by July's independents' Jam. I'm not sure how well a specifically Chaos Comics Jam would do.

You could call it "Poorly Drawn Giant Tits Jam".

HA!!

How about a 1st Appearances Jam? Characters in their first outfits or incarnations, maybe with a somewhat broad range going up to maybe their first full year of existence? (Superman's look changed subtly from issue to issue in the early Action Comics days, for instance)
