It's kool I can see why it looks like a trace because since I did not include my actual sketch work it probably looks too good. Well the answer is it's not a trace verbatim, I'm a stickler for details at times so when my initial sketch wasn't exact I projected the photo over to correct the miscues. This wasn't meant to be an excercise in drawing as I did this well before the Drawing Jam so some cheating on the drawing I could excuse for myself. Had the piece been exclusively for the Jam no trace corrections would have been necessary.Joel_Herrera wrote:heiesuke_oda - I gotta ask. What's the point of tracing the photo? I realize lots of folks do it, but I was hoping you could answer for me. thanks. I'm not trying to be mean spirited or anything, just curious
As previously stated this wasn't intended for the drawing jam since as stated in my original post it was created all the in May. I happened to see the pic I used as reference and thought hey why not repost this here. But if you doubt my drawing prowess why not stop by my gallery and see for your self some of them... here's one in particular I'm proud of because I nailed it almost perfectly and all the sketch work is included but too bad I can't find the reference pic maybe you'd think I traced this too ahhh that would be sweet. lolAzmyth wrote:I was wondering that also. When I first saw it, I was like.. no way he drew that. Its amazing how he can do that, but at the same time it certainly defeats the purpose of a "drawing" jam. No offense intended.. just an observation. Its great work nonetheless
