mel, I'm actually attending St. Clair right now for the Tradigital Animation program. I'm about to graduate. I know it was quite a challenge to put together a portfolio for the first time. Hopefully you draw a lot and keep EVERYTHING. That really helps. As for techniques...not sure...haven't seen any of your work. Don't know what direction you should go in. So try posting some of your best pieces so you can get a critique. And life drawing...just keep doing it. I know my original life drawing portfolio was horribly embarrassing. But if you took the prep course, then you stand a great chance of getting in. Hope to see some of your work and I'll try to help the cause as much as possible.

There's a great book which just came out this year called "The Logo, Lettering and Font Bible" by Leslie Cabarga. I recommend it.

Giovanni Civardi has some GREAT works and notes on the human body. Theres three books that I know of : Drawing Human Anantomy, Drawing the Male Nude, Drawing the Female Nude.
