These have great potential. They look a little like tracings. Maybe if you vary your line weight a little. Thin to Thick. That helps to give a feeling of volume.
Stop cropping out hands and feet... it just looks like you're avoiding drawing them. And don't use the "I ran out of paper" line... the cropping should happen pretty easily with the initial gesture before you've invested any real rendering time.
When I was in college an instructor used to make people lay in a gesture but, from time-to-time forced us to start our rendering with the hands or feet... or nose or whatever he felt like that day just to make people address those parts and to force people out of the formulas you can't help but develop sometimes. It's a good exercise and I still try to do it now and then...
The forms look fairly good... nice weight but it looks as though you're just creating an outline then filling in the details inside instead of really building shapes... Those initial gestures should be roadmaps for building real anatomy and volume... just my take on 'em.
I'm glad I was able to help you The gestures are nice, a lot of them have the beginnings of good structure. Like the others said, focus on drawing hands, feet and faces. I always practice them seperately too. I fill up pages and pages of just hands. They actually become fun after awhile. Once you get them down, you'll find it makes drawing the whole figure a lot more enjoyable and easier when you've practiced the hands, feet and faces a lot.
