Yup,-- the Loomis site that Mikahl mentioned is excellent for explaining Anatomy.

I'm not sure it's the best for a "cartooned style". The Preston Blair books are very good at explaining Construction of cartoon figures. I don't know that there's a site on the 'Net with that material..

In any case, I still find your question too vast & vague to give you a really good answer. I think you really need to be a bit more specific about what kinds of stuff you're looking for.. Maybe list some of the kinds of "cartoony" stuff you're looking for?

the preston balir site is http://www.freetoon.com

loomis is great, but its kinda hard to learn from unless you spend some time applying his stuff to modern day situations. or u could just learn to draw like him, that would be pretty impressive!

Ihave and use a lot of the Christopher Hart books. Including Human Anatomy Made Incredibly Easy. Most of the Hart books run only around 20 bucks so prety easy to pick up even on a small budget. Some of them are even cheaper. In fact now that I look at my shelf more than half the books on it about cartoon/anime style are written by Hart hehe

Yeah.
Drawing is hard and stuff. Unless you practice. Then it gets, like, easier and stuff.

i'm going to sound like a huge asshole here, but I soemtimes wonder with questions like these - just how good do you want to get? Why do you want to draw well? What will you accomplish with said skills? How hard are you willing to work at it and how much time are you willing to put in?

When you ask for "good websites" or "good books" or "good advice", what exactly are you hoping to find? I struggle with what kind of answer you could really be serching for with broad questions like this - because really, unless you're intent is to just copy other people's creations, there are not answers. If you need a book or website to tell you that a characters head starts with a circle, andf then two other circles are added for eyes....etc., etc...well, drawing may not be for you, at least not more than a casual hobby.

Being an artist is not something that ahppens overnight. This applies to everyone. you can't read a tutorial and be really awesome. it just doesn't work that way.
