hey everyone i am 16 currently living in the uk and i have made my first webcomic called Space Station Gabriel and it seems to be doing pretty well so far, here is the story of it so far: a teenage boy who has had a life of education has left his home to go and live on a space station known anly as 'Gabriel'. But when he get's there he is not exactly greeted warmly and everything starts to fall apart, he begins having doubts about whether he should stay there and he's only been there one night.

Anyway thats a pretty short summary of the story so far it's currently at 21 pages but obviously it will get larger, i wanted to know what you people thought of it,

thnx

I actually think this a pretty nice start for your first comic. I like the filler pics you've done for a couple of pages, and the general story seems to be progressing happily enough. I would work on making sure all your pages are scanned in at the same quality and are all the same size; a lot of them (such as the first page and filler pics) are too big by far. So long as the text is legible the pages shouldn't need to be wider than 600-700 pixels. Also, don't bother with the paint effects for gradients and the like, it looks REALLY cheesy and bad ;) Try and produce these effects on the paper instead before you scan it in. You should be scanning at about 72 dpi, and make sure the contrast is fairly high to get rid of all the odd smudges and stuff (although not so high that you lose detail!)

I'd say your website could use some sprucing up, but to be fair it fulfills the most important role of showing the comic first and foremost, so I wouldn't worry about that!

All in all, good start, and keep it up! :)
