I cant draw realistic.. but I like to shade

so ive liked everyone elses so far, a lot of good talent on this website
hmm I haven't drawn at all in years, i've been a graphic designer for years now, but i moved away from anything detailed (other than quick sketches) a long time ago, so i am lookin to get back into the game... this is my first shot at drawing anything in a looonnnggg time, but i hope to do these jams and get back into the rhythym
scanner is down, not really finished (ran outta time, ive been workin too long), i drew her 150 times on the same back of this notebook with a mechanical pencil... i now realize i forgot a second arm... the drawing ITSELF is quite slanted... puffy shirt comes off weird... my future entries will at least be with better pencils on REAL paper and scanned oh, and finished as well, but everyone needs to start somewhere
so, in honor of talk like a pirate day being the 19th... here is my pirate lass...
