Thank You Very Much. I tried very hard to stop worrying about making everything in my sketchbook pretty,for me that meant abandoning the pencil learning to draw with pens and eventually brushes. It helped me to grow and develop a style that would not have come about any other way.
I don't want to sound preachy but I think it's very beneficial for artists to just draw and disregard making a "good" picture or trying so hard to stylize, every once in awhile.

Ilook through everything, but that werewolf with the red eye is still my favorite. The dark array of shadows that you spread across sheets of paper is beautiful. It's almost eerie the way such mild images can be so creepy to me. You definitely lay down the mood with that ink of yours.

Tell me, was it difficult getting used to an ink brush?

thanks that's very nice to hear about the mood, and that it is affecting you in a creepy but hopefully still a good way.
I'm trying to think what made me pick up the brush pen...and I think it had to do with inking comic pages, the brush could duplicate the scratchy quality of the pen and still be heavy enough with lines and black to make it look good as a comic page. To answer your question I don't really remember how long it took, but I do remember forcing my self to only draw with the brush for a really long time, at life drawing workshops, in my sketchbook, inking pages, etc i used the brush until i was very comfortable getting different techniques out of it.

Cool good to see you. Yeah It will be a few issues before I get to draw the bats but I can't wait till they're in the story. Those designs aren't totally final either so I might be doing something crazier with them.
