I had taken a Photography class this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Before then, I couldn't tell you what an f-stop was if my life depended on it. I have a thing for rusty and corrosive textures.

Pretty good. I too like taking the corroded, chipped, broken, degraded environment type pics.

There are some issues with balance and background clutter, but that is something that just takes a long time and even more photos to develop. I still have problems and I've taken thousands of photos.

In the meantime, there are a couple of things you could do make these a little bit better. You can crop the images a bit to give thtem a little bit more balance, and even more importantly, I would play with the contrast values a bit. That will help pull it out and give it more focus to the viewer.

Great shots, and I hope to see many more in the future.

Hello, shaman_eh. Yeah, these are raw scans of prints I made during a summer course, not photoshopped at all. It's actually my first time using a 35mm, and I only take photos as a hobby at this point. These are all shot on film with the basic Nikon F10.

I'll definitely look into posting more. Thanks both of you for the kind words.
